I borrowed this list below from my Facebook account. The “rules” were to write down 25 random things about yourself and then “tag” anyone in your friends list, including the person who tagged you in the first place. . . I normally don’t really go for these sort of things, but this was actually fun!
- I enjoy the simple things – extravagance is not for me.
- I am a rural person and a private person – thankfully both go hand-in-hand.
- I’m loyal to my friends, and friendly towards my enemies.
- I do NOT believe in religion, but I try my best to uphold religious “values” – not out of fear of eternal damnation, but simply because – rationally and morally, it’s the right thing to do.
- I do NOT believe that just because mankind hasn’t figured out why something works the way that it works, that the answer must then be – divine intervention.
- I try to respect another person’s beliefs – even if they refuse to respect mine.
- I work for a living because I have to – not because I want to.
- Money is the root of all evil, but it also makes the world go round – so I want my cake and to eat it too.
- I don’t trust politicians – any of them.
- I don’t trust the media – less than I even trust the politicians.
- I believe the universe is full of life and that we are not alone.
- I think too many people believe that “Educated” and “Intelligent” have the same meaning – they do not.
- If people were to forever leave this planet, would the planet and the animals that live on it be better off without us? I’m ashamed to answer that as “Yes”
- I like most animals more than I like most people.
- I’d love to travel back in time so I could compare what really happened – to what was later written.
- I’d love to travel ahead in time and see if we’re actually smart enough to survive our own shortsightedness.
- I believe that there is something fundamentally wrong with a system that legislates into law, what most of us would consider to be common sense. Is there really anyone out there that doesn’t know that Coffee is hot, and that you could burn yourself, if you spill it in your lap?
- I believe it’s too easy to sue someone.
- I believe that people were better off – 60 years ago.
- I believe it’s much easier to point out someone else’s faults, than it is to recognize our own.
- My goal is simply to survive the current financial crisis – I believe that there is a lot more “bad news” ahead of us before it’s over.
- After re-reading all that I’ve written so far, some might think that I’m pessimistic – but in reality, I’m neither pessimistic nor optimistic. I refer to myself as realistic.
- Three more items to go, and I’m running out of things to say. . .
- I don’t have many regrets – but if given a second chance to change anything I wanted – I would do a couple of things differently. No big deal though.
- I HATE when people talk over top of me, I give them 3 chances to shut up and listen – after that I just smile and keep my thoughts to myself (at that point, they really don’t want to know what’s on my mind anyway).
