If I had a million dollars…

If I had a million dollars, what would I do? Well the first thing I would do is give up photography as a business and go back to photography as a hobby. The simple truth of the matter is – there’s no money in it. Someone once said, “If you seriously want to make money in photography, you need to sell your gear.” It’s a funny statement – because it is true!

The second thing I would do is get a small travel trailer. I really like those old and tiny teardrop shaped ones from the late 50’s and early 60’s. Basically big enough to just sleep in, and that’s it! Then I would jump in the Jeep and just head out and go “that way” – no specific destination, other than planning on NOT being in any cold states during the Winter months.

I’d visit the state parks – the big ones and the small. I’d also search for “Americana” on the back roads of the USA. Small towns with main streets, and shops, and town squares, with people and their local heroes. I’d sit for awhile and people watch, and maybe strike up conversations with those who seemed interesting and friendly. I’d try to capture it all with my camera, and post my adventures on my blog…

That’s it, that’s all I would do… No rush or haste to be somewhere by a certain date and time. Just go, and live…
