I don’t really know what it is about views like this, but I’ve always, always found them to be very appealing. Is it the contrast between light and dark? A sense of direction? The feeling of hope in an otherwise dark world? I really can’t say. I just know that I’m drawn to views like this.
Now, what might be surprising, is that this photo was actually taken of a spot in my back yard. Not deep in some forest or wilderness. Though, I certainly can imagine myself walking deep into a forest and coming across patches of light like this.
