I had the greatest pleasure of shooting a family portrait session yesterday afternoon at Hamlin Beach State Park. It actually turned out to be a fantastic day to go to the beach. It was quite hot and a bit humid, but with a slight breeze coming off of the lake, it was very comfortable.
I was actually quite surprised to see how few people were there. At one point, it was just my Jeep and the my clients vehicles in the parking lot. Considering that it was a Saturday, and quite warm – I just figured more people would be there.
The lake itself was as calm and flat as a pond – no waves at all and crystal clear – you could get on the rocks and look down through the water and see the bottom – a somewhat rare site when you visit the lake, at least for me!
