This past July 14th, I had the great pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford New York. Even though I’ve lived in this area for most of my life, and I knew about the GCV&M, this was the first time that I had actually ever been there.
It’s a fantastic place to spend the day and travel back in time to “days gone by”. It’s called a village, and it’s the perfect name for it, because all of the vintage buildings are laid out as if you’re walking down the streets of a real village! What’s also pretty cool, and adds to the over all feel, is that the people who work there also wear clothes of the period too!
Anyway, as I shot photos of the wedding rehearsal, I also shot photos of the village as they rehearsed the events of the next days wedding. To be honest, I think it would be a cool place to work! 🙂
